Each chapter examines the theoretical and research literature support for the invention and links to appropriate nursing diagnoses and outcomes. A case study is presented to illustrate how each intervention is used in nursing practice. Loss, mourning, and grief are universal, timeless experiences for people of all ages and all cultures. Coping with the loss of a parent and the potential death of a child from AIDS may be one of the most overwhelming and catastrophic experiences with grief for family members.
