Population: 0–28 Days Postpartum (Chinese Maternal Adaptation)

This clinical population is Chinese women in childbearing years who have a baby aged 0–28 days. This population has a varied background, as the women may have been born in Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, elsewhere in Southeast Asia, or Canada. Cultural practices will vary depending upon their birthplace, educational and socioeconomic background. The extended family, especially the older generation, has a strong influence on the postpartum practices, helps the new mother, and may even take over the care of the baby.
