Using Musical Language

You could introduce and use some of these musical terms during Circle Time:

New Language

In Circle Time, explain to the children that there are special words for music, to help people to know how the music is to be played. Tell the children that ‘piano’ means quietly and ‘adagio’ means slowly. Ask them to stand up ‘adagio’ and ‘piano’. Ask them to sit down ‘piano’. Use both these terms in everyday work in the classroom.
