Evaluation of early childhood education is a recent phenomena that is here to stay. One of Lawrence Schweinhart's keys to a quality prekindergarten is a well integrated program of continuous assessment of program quality and children's development (Schweinhart, 2008).1
Forty-three states provided some form of support for preschool education programs in 2009.
