Part II: Media Coverage
In this part, the focus changes from institutional arrangements for reporting war to media coverage of the Iraq crisis. Most of the data refer primarily to the UK press; however, there is analysis of the television news coverage of the military phase of the conflict (Chapter 7), and reference is also made to elements of media coverage in other nations' media systems.
The analysis is divided into three time periods: the pre-invasion phase (November 2002 to March 2003); the invasion phase (20 March to late April 2003); and the post-invasion phase (1 May 2003 onwards).
