Introduction
This chapter deals with direct marketing as an interactive marketing communications tool that uses one or more communications media to achieve a measurable response. Customer databases are the result of the application of information technology in marketing and as such are very powerful tools. Database and direct marketing have developed significantly in the past few years in terms of a means to deliver a sales message to stimulate demand and supply product information.
