During the past few years, there have been an increasing number of studies and reports on the experiences of female academics. Many of these studies contain common themes about the challenges and problems facing women in universities, their desires to create a different organization, and their hope to speak with a different voice. At the same time, however, the prescriptions that these reports recommend will not lead to radical or deep structural change.
