Evaluating and managing change for optimal performance

Evaluation is the last stage in the technology adoption life cycle (see Figure 3.1 in Chapter 3). The purpose of evaluation is to ensure that the technology is meeting organizational, business, and performance objectives. Because the technology adoption life cycle is a circular process rather than a linear one, evaluation is not really the “last” stage in the process because information collected enables ongoing management and feeds back into business strategy.
