The journey to complete this book faced a number of delays due to unforeseen obstacles and personal challenges. I am very grateful to Sage and my Editors, Nina Smith and Kirsty Smy, for their support during the process of getting this book to print. I doubt if I would have stayed the pace without their encouragement. I also want to thank the coaches and coachees who participated in the research that led to the writing of this book. Above all I want to thank my husband, Laurence Davies, for his unfailing encouragement and inspiration in my endeavours.
