Learning is acquired by reading books; but the much more necessary learning; the knowledge of the world, is only to be acquired by reading men, and studying all the various conditions of them.
In January 1998, the Annenberg Center for Communication at the University of Southern California published its study, Work-force Education: Corporate Training and Learning at America's Companies.1 (The authors of this volume were the principal investigators of the research.) This national survey was done in cooperation with Chicago-based market researcher OmniTech Consulting Group.
