Introduction
Change within the community context permits the introduction of new elements into the theoretical concepts of leadership and offers a different perspective on leadership for change, such as power and empowerment. This perspective pays attention to the nature of representation and participation in change efforts. Social capital, implied in all efforts at change, is particularly relevant in the community context.
