The operations strategy process is the set of organisational processes by which many stakeholders can collectively formulate an operations strategy.

Figure 12 presents a generic model of the process of developing an operations strategy which is adapted from a model developed by a team of researchers from the University of Cambridge (Mills et al., 1995).
