This story is about Jordan who has Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). Such children can be thought of as difficult and a nuisance and this story emphasises that this condition has a cause which needs careful and sympathetic treatment in the classroom. The story shows the children that they have a role to play in understanding ADHD and accepting Jordan as he is.
ADHD is a disorder with an underlying biological cause. It is a treatable (not curable) complex disorder which affects approximately 3 to 6 percent of the population.
