Overview
In this chapter, we make a case for including spatial and place perspectives when exploring the notions of belonging, participation and citizenship in relation to services for young children in urban societies. We pay particular attention to the position of marginalized children, especially migrant children, who often experience barriers to accessing services and challenges to their rights of citizenship and positive identity.
