A WiFi world?
Wireless fidelity or Wi-Fi refers to networks that use radio technologies to provide wireless connectivity. It is basically a radio signal that beams Internet connections out 300 feet, and can be used to connect computers to each other, to the Internet, or to wired networks. The technology is defined in the IEEE 802.11 range of standards, and has been around for about five years. Since early 2001, the growth in WiFi products has been dramatic (WiFi Alliance, 2003).
