Use of Lecture Notes

Before you go into each lecture you should briefly remind yourself of where it fits into the overall content of both the entire study programme and each topic within it. The more familiar you become with the context, the greater will be your confidence that you understand the lecture and related study material.

It is always beneficial to do some preliminary reading before you enter a lecture. If lecture notes are provided in advance (for example, electronically), then print these out, read over them and take them with you to the lecture.
