The key findings from the discourse analysis are set out below. The discourse analysis rated how the four leadership discourses appeared in each individual chapter,1 drawing on experience of having worked with these discourses in both theory and practice for over a decade. This analysis was not only done on the final chapter versions, but also while working closely with the authors during the editing and writing of them. Distinct references to particular discourses in the texts gave clear and obvious data for the analysis, yet a lot of subtle referencing took place which had to be reflected on and made sense of.
