If you are going to maintain a healthy weight then you need to adopt a healthy eating plan which does not involve restricting calories. It needs to be satisfying, pleasant and varied. To maintain physical health, it also needs to be combined with regular physical exercise and effective stress management. I do not like using the term “diet” however because that implies a restrictive short term programme, whereas healthy eating is for life and should not leave you feeling deprived in any way.
