Choice making involves the expression of preferences and provides students with the opportunity to select between two or more choices (Green, Mays, & Jolivette, 2011). Choice in instructional assignments presents the student with two or more activities from a menu of choices developed by the teacher. The student is then able to select the activity he or she wants to complete (Harlacher, Roberts, & Merrell, 2006).
