If policy practice includes efforts to influence the development or construction, enactment, implementation, or assessment of public policies (Jansson, 1994), then family policy practice might be defined in similar terms: as efforts to influence the development, enactment, implementation, or assessment of constructed solutions to family problems that have the greatest potential for advancing family well-being.
