More than 2 decades ago, in her concluding chapter of Volume 1 of the Handbook of Family Life Education, Margaret Arcus asked, “What issues and problems need to be addressed and what critical challenges must be surmounted if the [family life education] movement is to continue to serve families well?” (Arcus, 1993, p. 229). In this epilogue chapter, we ask a similar question: What are the practical issues that need attention if family life education (FLE) is to be successful in strengthening individuals, couples, and families where they live and work, well into the 21st century?
