Overview

The purpose of this chapter is to introduce the reader to the technique of cognitive mapping as a basis for conducting management research. Whilst I have attempted to be as even handed as possible in terms of giving a balanced overview of some of the alternative approaches, I have inevitably focused on those aspects which I have found worked for me as a researcher.
