It is through working together that many of the interpersonal skills of emotional literacy are developed. There are also many areas of interpersonal conflict between children. It is through the making and breaking of friendships, the rivalries and disagreements that children learn many of the skills of getting on with each other. The arena of children's play is a natural learning environment for developing skills in resolving conflict and learning how to get along with others.
