Introduction
The heresy of today is the orthodoxy of tomorrow. That much we have learned from Tom Peters, Charles Handy and all those others who have asked to please forgive what they said yesterday because it is no longer true or relevant. Heresy has always been intrinsically more appealing than orthodoxy.
However, heresy is just as often self-indulgent and narcissistic as it is principled and questioning of inert ideas. In other words, we have to treat heresies with as much caution as we do orthodoxies, because they are inherently more seductive.
