Chapter overview
This chapter aims to debate the issue of how preschool teachers or social educators, as they are called in Denmark, can work in a globalised, digital world. The chapter aims to provoke discussion and to raise the questions required to move the pedagogical frame of kindergarten and preschool settings beyond the school walls. The chapter is based on four action research projects that took place in Denmark between 2005 and 2017, uses examples from the findings and draws on the principles that informed the new networks of communications developed between these settings and outside agencies.
