The issue of diversity in our society is one of the most widely discussed topics today. The amount of attention to it is related to a number of factors, including the changing demographic characteristics of the society, in which 85% of the new entrants to the domestic workforce will be minorities, women, and immigrants; insufficient progress in responding to these changes; and the growing occurrence of incidents of intolerance (Fernandez, 1991; Smith, 1989).
