How We Created This Book

This book is part of the Powerful Voices for Kids initiative developed by Renee Hobbs and Laurada Byers, who collaborated in a university-school partnership involving the Russell Byers Charter School in Philadelphia and Temple University's Media Education Lab. Co-author David Cooper Moore began as a teacher in the program, then took on increasingly significant roles as a program manager, teacher educator, curriculum developer, and researcher.
