Using the Process Model
The Process Model is a framework for assessing personality and planning effective intervention. It is primarily the work of one man, Taibi Kahler (1974, 1978, 1979a, 1979b). Another TA innovator, Paul Ware (1983), originated the diagnostic system of six personality adaptations that now interacts with Kahler's ideas to make up the complete Process Model.
Kahler and Ware have been developing this material from the mid-1970s onwards. I believe it forms one of the most useful contributions that current TA has to offer you in the practice of counselling. You can readily use this set of techniques even if TA is not your main counselling approach.
