Session 9: Drugs and Alcohol
Introduction
The facilitator can outline the main aims of this session as follows:
- For students to reflect on current knowledge about drugs and alcohol.
- For students to consider the dangers and so-called delights of drugs and alcohol.
- For students to identify ways in which girls can avoid the kind of drug and alcohol abuse which might lead them to becoming addicted or at risk of self-harm.
Activity 1 – Icebreaker: Thought Storming Activity
Students can initially focus on the question:
What do we know about drugs and alcohol?
