This resource introduces a programme, called ‘Girl's World’, to support high school girls in developing their confidence, self-esteem and self-awareness. A major focus is also placed upon the development of emotional literacy and the ways in which girls can effectively contribute to peer support structures and mechanisms which aid the inclusion of all girls in both the social and school arenas. It was originally developed for, and delivered to, a group of girls within the context of a Pupil Referral Unit.
