A number of useful publications already exist on the topic of continuing professional development (CPD) and the opportunities now available to teachers to enhance their skills, knowledge and understanding. The intention of this chapter is not to add to that resource but to focus on one whole-school approach to the provision of CPD that we have found to be particularly effective in meeting the needs of staff in schools.
