Individual creativity and organizational innovation, as commonly defined, are overlapping concepts. They are not interchangeable, and the link between the two is not straightforward and linear. Encouraging creativity will not always lead to more or better organizational innovation. Striving for innovation will not always help satisfy the needs for creativity of individual organizational members.
