The right brain is often viewed as intuitive and holistic; the left verbal, rational, linear, and logical. Creativity, then, has become strongly associated with the right hemisphere. But, creativity is a discovery process that starts with what one can already do well. What we do well, especially in the West, is use our left brains. If we are to enhance creativity in our lives and in our organizations, we should concentrate on developing the creative possibilities of the left brain, rather than on trying to perform some unnatural convolutions that emphasize the right brain.
