Introduction

We had made considerable progress at obtaining views from a wide range of stakeholders. Unfortunately we were unable to include our SMSA's and kitchen staff in our initial sessions as it had been difficult to find the opportunity for consultation. We all recognised that this would need to be rectified in the future.

Nevertheless, using our list of values, we were now ready to form our basic vision statements. It would be from these statements that our overall vision for our school could be formed and which would underpin all future actions.

The four main areas that we felt needed to be considered in a school were:

  • Does it have a ‘safe positive environment’?
