Linda Darling-Hammond (2010) argues that accountability, standards, and tests do not predicate improvement, but rather “improvements depend on greater teacher, school and system learning about more effective practice, combined with more equal and better targeted resource allocation” (p. 73). Collaborative school reviews are about shared learning. This chapter examines three components of conducting the collaborative school review: introduction and setting the stage, conducting the onsite review, and debriefing and sharing of findings and feedback (see Figure 5.1).
