Introduction
In this chapter, we describe a ‘Eccomi Pronto’ (EP) universal elementary school curriculum that we created to promote the development of self-direction in Italian schoolchildren. We also describe the lesson we learned from the process of developing EP and we make suggestions for educators who would like to develop similar story-based curricula to promote character strength development.
