This chapter outlines a Self-Esteem Enhancement Programme of activities for the use of tutors who may wish to help students develop their self-esteem in a systematic way. It covers the development of social skills and other personal qualities considered to be essential in the growth towards positive self-worth. There are six sessions in the programme, which can be given in its entirety or in parts as the tutor thinks fit. Students who show extremely low self-esteem would probably benefit from the whole programme whilst for others it may be that they need to develop only specific skills.
