Whilst each tutor will organise their sessions in terms of their own personalities and every situation is likely to be different, there are some basic principles which are common to all sessions.

The Setting

There is some research evidence to show that attitudes are more easily changed where the person attempting to effect attitude change has status in the eyes of the client. As one of the aims of the tutoring is to change students' attitudes towards themselves, the status of the tutor is going to be an important factor.
