As reported in Chapter 8, the walk-through coupled with reflective dialogue is an essential component of the Downey Walk-Through process for professional development. The walk-through data-gathering process provides valid and comprehensive information and knowledge to supervisors about classroom teacher decision making, and generates possibilities for reflective conversations between teachers and supervisors, primarily principals (see Chapters 4 and 5). The juncture of these two vital elements raises curiosity as to the ultimate end result of this union—where does it lead?
