The Downey Walk-Through With Reflective Inquiry was designed with the major intent of impacting the reflective culture of schools. The walk-through was used as one of the vehicles a principal or coach could use to help identify areas of reflection. Many individuals attempting to implement the Downey approach have focused on the five-step classroom observation lens and avoided the reflective conversation.
