The advances in attachment research outlined in Chapter 3 focus on assessment issues: What do we mean by adult attachment style? How should we measure it? What are the psychometric properties of the various measures? Complementing these advances, recent work in the area of adult attachment has focused on refining aspects of the theory itself.
