If we select at least five key words to pre-teach before each content lesson in Grades K–12 grades, students will be able to tackle that subject much easier. Students will be able to comprehend better as they read the text and/or participate in the class discussion, brainstorming, or reviews. When they start reading the classroom text, knowing these words will give them confidence to keep reading, even if their English is very limited.
