Chapter 12: Using Technology to Communicate
Using Technology to Communicate
There are technology systems that can be accessed by district staff, students, parents, and community with links to outside websites and resources. School and teacher websites can easily provide updates. This permits viewers to keep informed about what is happening in the school and in the classrooms. Liane Wardlow, senior research scientist at Pearson Center for eLearning, states:
Parents and teachers have a common goal: to facilitate the best educational experience possible for students. New technologies have made communication between home and school more efficient, and improved in both quantity and quality (Wardlow, 2014).
