Caulfield, Barbara A. (1947-)

Originally from Oak Park, Illinois, Barbara A. Caulfield received her bachelor's degree from Northwestern University in 1969. After graduation, she continued on at the Northwestern University School of Law and graduated in 1972.

Caulfield had a very extensive private professional career before taking a seat on the bench. She was a researcher and attorney for the Northwestern University Center for Urban Affairs from 1972 until 1973, and then became the supervising attorney for the Northwestern School of Law Legal Aid Clinic until 1974. She then applied her talents to teaching and was a professor of law at the University of Oregon Law School from 1974 to 1978 and later a professor of law at the University of California, San Francisco, Hastings College of Law from 1978 ...
