Ulfig, Cynthia (1956-)

Cynthia Ulfig grew up in Woodland Hills, California, the daughter of a homemaker and a contractor. She earned her B.A. in political science from California State University, Northridge, and her law degree from Southwestern University School of Law in Los Angeles.

After graduating from law school, Ulfig went to work as a clerk for a personal injury firm. Shortly thereafter, she moved to the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office in 1983, where she served as a trial attorney and later as a deputy district attorney. Her first child was born in 1990. Also in 1990 she first applied for a judgeship.
