Patel, Marilyn Hall (1938-)

Marilyn Hall Patel was born in Amsterdam, New York, in 1938. She graduated from Wheaton College in 1959 and went on to study at Fordham University School of Law. After receiving her J.D. from Fordham in 1963, she opened her private law practice in New York City. After 4 years, she moved to San Francisco to take a position as an attorney for the Immigration and Naturalization Service, a branch of the U.S. Department of Justice. Remaining in the Bay Area, she opened her private practice in San Francisco in 1971 and remained in practice until 1976. During this time, she served as an adjunct professor of law for the Hastings College of Law at the University of California, San Francisco, from 1974 to 1976. ...
