The Hare Psychopathology Checklist-Revised (PCL-R) is an assessment instrument that is widely accepted as a reliable and valid method for assessing psychopathy. It includes a clinical interview and collateral information by which to score the 20 items that measure characteristics of a psychopath. These characteristics include interpersonal, affective, and social lifestyle aspects of psychopathy.
