Known as “Bluebeard” for the many women he murdered, Johann Otto Hoch frequently relocated and remarried. He is believed to have murdered 15 or more wives and collected on their life insurance policies. Hoch was finally arrested and convicted for poisoning one of them with arsenic and was hung in 1906.
