Corruption

As a general matter, before any topic can be adequately understood, it must be defined. There are many different ways of defining a term, which include explaining it, providing a demonstration of it, or experiencing it. In most academic fields, explanation is the most common way to define a concept, except, of course, the natural sciences, where the preferred method is demonstration through experimentation. Furthermore, the context within which a term is being defined may significantly influence or alter the understanding of that term. Corruption is one of those terms.
