Risk Assessments

Risk assessment is a statistically based assessment tool that can be employed in the measurement of offender classification and prediction of offender behavior within the criminal justice system and other captive subpopulations. Risk assessment and implementation mark the midpoint between research and practice. It is widely believed that when risk-assessment tools are properly developed and implemented, they can enhance decision making in the criminal justice system.
